Quick on the heels of the news that Ashton Kutcher (of all people) beat CNN as the first twitter account to reach 1 Million Followers is the revelation that Oprah is joining up.
So how is the twitterverse taking it?

Twitter's CEO passed up a deal that would have given every one of his 25 employees more than $20 million. Apiece. And the company doesn't even have a revenue model.
I refuse to join Twitter. I know I sound like one of those old people who refuse to give into new-fangled things like "television," but I don't want another website to be addicted (what with Facebook and all the porn sites and whatnot).

On the other hand if something hits Oprah, it is mass market.
