Talk of the Town

I'm feeling oddly jazzed about the fact that I just received my first official rejection letter from The New Yorker.

It's technically not the first time they've passed on writing I've submitted -- however this time they actually burned calories composing a two-sentence email instead of just doing nothing and letting me figure it out a month or so later.

Congratulations. That actually is something. A friend of mine who teaches creative writing said that 999 times out of 1,000, you don't get any feedback, so good on you.

Satorical -- That's been my experience too. A few places take the time, but usually they just give you the cold shoulder.

Werdna -- Thanks bro. Hopefully soon it will be an acceptance.
